eContractorBids.com is a Wisconsin Limited Liability Company with its headquarters in LaCrosse, WI. It’s a privately owned company with six equity shareholders that represent several industries, including decades of experience in the building industry.

Adam Etrheim, President/Founder of eContractorBids.com, established the business in early 2007 with assistance from University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse’s SBDC program and several Angel Investors from the La Crosse, WI area. Since its conception, eContractorBids.com has developed a massive interactive portal-system and continues to make great strides within the building industry. eContractorBids.com was featured in the Wall Street Journal in May of 2009 and continues to support several major markets across the nation.

VERIFY TRADE LICENSE

eContractorBids.com verifies that the business carries the appropriate state-level license and is registered with the state.

VERIFY INSURANCE

We contact the member’s insurance agent to confirm general liability insurance and post the insurance certificate online.

VERIFICATION OF STATE BUSINESS RECORDS

For businesses that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing with the state. In addition, we check for bankruptcy filings, state level civil judgments, and liens placed against each member’s business.

CRIMINAL RECORDS SEARCH

We use several database sources to conduct a criminal background check for any relevant criminal activity in the state that the owner/principal is located.

SEX OFFENDER SEARCH

We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official sex offender web site of the state in which the owner/principal is located.

IDENTITY VERIFICATION

We verify the identity of the owner/principal. We also do a reverse phone and address look-up to confirm that the information provided matches the application for the business.

VERIFY PAST CUSTOMER REFERENCES

We contact past customer references to solicit feedback on the business’s performance, including gathering past customer ratings and reviews.
